Chrysanthemums sometimes called mums or chrysanths, are flowering plants of the genus Chrysanthemum in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Asia and northeastern Europe. Most species originate from East Asia and the center of diversity is in China. Countless horticultural varieties and cultivars exist.
Flower : The flowers are bright colors produced in capitula (flowerheads) 3.5-5.5 cm in diameter, with a ring of ray florets and a centre of disc florets.
Uses : Young shoots – cooked. Strongly aromatic, they contain coumarin.
Height : 80 cm tall
Leaves : They have alternately arranged leaves divided into leaflets with toothed or occasionally smooth edges.
